Colourism
Colourism affects not just one race or one set of people it affects a lot of individuals from a lot of cultures and backgrounds.
Doesn’t matter your background or the status of living it doesn’t matter if you’re rich or poor this is the issue that needs speaking about an address in as it kills just as much as racism and mental health and it is for us all to speak and tackle things that affect every day society for the next generation to have a better quality of life so this weeks blog is focused on Colourism, please leave the thoughts in the comment section.

Do I not bleed and bare children, I work hard still you stand there you speak but you don’t see the impact of what you say.
We are black you say am your queen but with no extension you seem rather mean, you don’t want to touch me just shout and cuss me. Even though we are of the same race you don’t see my beauty you just see the shade of my skin.
Get dressed you look a mess do something except be me you hate my Afro you say you want real but prefer if I wear the hair of a pony.
See this thing it goes very deep back to when our ancestors where trapped they say you work outside pick cotton your too black, your hair is too course, killed all the strong ones who stood up and spoke.
So yes it’s real am a Jamaican so I have to watch my tone, they don’t see my pain or what I’ve been through. All they see is anger & carry on their abuse.
There is 32 Shades of black we ain’t all the same one things for sure am not Ashamed.
I ain’t afraid to say No, stand up for me, I don’t have to curse you am I wanna save MY RACE.
Say am loud it’s who I am, we don’t all speak at the same Volume, but think of you CHILDREN really do you want to them to ACT SAME.
So to you all who think one is less valid because of the tone of their skin. The hair on their head, or country their in especially if your a colourist THAT IS BLACK. Spare a thought for Our RACE think of our children let’s teach them NOT to belittle their OWN BECAUSE AS BLACK PEOPLE we have been through enough.
The shade of your skin, may be darker this, doesn’t mean you should be attacked, emotionally drain you’re not here for me to demoralise, nor victimise.
A colourists, doesn’t care who you are or the make of your car, weather your black, white, or Portuguese we all can be affected by colourist disease. Let take a stand find the treatment first we need to join together in order to change the weather. Speak to your children, all your friends this is a fight, probably which will have no end. Be ready don’t be afraid you will not stand alone in the War today. No matter what your colour, I stand with you.
Hope you enjoyed reading this weeks blog, leave me a comment please, also join me on all my other platforms. If you have been or know anyone who has been affected by this issue then please speak to someone and get help or drop me an email, I’ll do my best to help.
