So Growing up I heard a lot of things. Before your mind gets ahead of you. I mean Rules values on ways to behave an conduct ourselves. For instance, “ you must be seen not heard”. Now many people would say that this statement is offensive. Truth be told when I was growing up coming from a Jamaican household and also being born in Jamaica 🇯🇲 I used to 💭 that also. Now am older I AGREE ☝️ this is why, what do we accomplish talking all the time? if it’s rude to be seen not heard why is it not equally as rude to always be heard?
What are you going to gain by getting me to listen to what you think or want. What do you feel when your successful but you did it to make someone else feel inadequate or insure? Nothing because what you missed is for better or worst you lived your life for someone else to feel small so you gained nothing. Be seen not heard as what you do means more than what you say fact.
Am Glad I became less Ignorant with Age
Yep Good criticism is needed for you to be better. Mistakes makes us human and sometimes we need to hear the harsh truth. We all have problems we are all human, instead of holding each other to our expectations how about we support each other at our weakest points. Now that would be humanity saved, the truth is the truth even if it’s hard to accept.👌👅

I Came to England
This was so much different to when I was in Jamaica. Kids were smoking in school running off from home it was a bit more relaxed 😌 I learnt that my values were important like “Be a leader not a follower” they kept me when the sea got ruff because that’s what we are here for to work for what we want. I am glad I was born in Jamaica our heritage shapes us Nature and Nurture works hand in hand. You may see it as abuse I see it as discipline. I am now glad For the beating because it shaped me I was being thought something I was loved enough by my family and they expected better like I expect better from the ones I love 💗
The ones I do not agree with “kids should be seen not heard”, nope they are human beings and have valid points if it’s the truth it doesn’t matter who speaks it, as a mother if my child want to say something weather I agree or not they can speak. “Do as I say not as I do “ nope if you cannot follow it do not expect others too. “ you have to respect me am your elder “ nope again I do not have to do anything you earn your respect or bye with your bs.
Life is short live it for you. Stick to your values but challenge what’s wrong.

Is there Anything you were told growing up that you agree or disagreeing with? Let me know.
Ps. it’s okay not to be ok with it saying no is ok 👍🏾. Thanks for reading leave your thoughts in the comments.
